Thunderbird Stadium Hosts Davis Cup

UBC Thunderbird Stadium played host to the Davis Cup World Group tennis championships first round tie between Canada and Spain and quarter-final tie between Canada and Italy in February and April of this year. UBC was chosen to host due to its enthusiasm, crowd support and first-class treatment of the Canadian team. The Province of British Columbia provided financial support to Tennis Canada for the events.
