UBC continues to maintain a balanced budget despite a challenging economic context. Developing additional sources of funding through federal government support, partnerships with industry and an ambitious fundraising and alumni engagement campaign remain critical areas of focus ensuring that the University continues to provide an exceptional learning environment and extend the impact of research and community engagement.
Expanding partnerships with industry and civil society, and engaging UBC’s communities connects our teaching and research to the needs of the people of British Columbia, Canada and the world. Driving innovation to tackle difficult social, scientific and environmental issues remains a priority, as does ensuring that British Columbians have the education and skills they need to succeed.
