Strong leadership is an integral part of creating an inspiring work environment. Coaching is one of the most effective ways to build and accelerate leadership capacity. It offers a unique opportunity to focus on professional and personal goals confidentially with an unbiased thinking partner.

UBC provides free one-on-one professional coaching services to faculty and staff. Anne Condon, Associate Dean and Head of Computing Sciences, was introduced to coaching through the Academic Leadership Development Program (ALDP), which supports faculty who take on leadership roles at UBC. Coaching helped her successfully navigate new challenges and strengthen connections with colleagues and students. Watch the video to learn about Anne’s experiences.
