Women’s Hockey Team Beats Personal Best

What a difference a year makes. This March the Thunderbird Women’s Ice Hockey team participated in their first ever national championship tournament, after winning their first ever Canada West banner by defeating the reigning national champions.  It was a remarkable turnaround for the team and Canada West Coach of the Year Graham Thomas. In his first year behind the bench for the T-birds he helped them to a 17-7-4 league play record, a significant improvement over the prior season’s 1-21-2 result.
