For the first time ever, students from the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmaceutical Sciences participated in the administration of flu shots at UBC’s free immunization clinic for faculty. This was possible due to a new course on immunization, launched this year by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, which covers the same content that pharmacists study in order to qualify through the College of Pharmacists of BC to administer injections.
