Those who need to leave work due to illness or injury often face many challenges. The Work Reintegration and Accommodation Program (WRAP) at Okanagan campus is designed to find productive ways to help staff and faculty through illness and injury. WRAP’s overall goal is to help those who are ill or injured find safe ways to remain at work, as well as assist those who have had to leave work as they reintegrate.

WRAP employs an integrated process managed by a coordinator who takes into account the needs of the individual, the work environment, the operational needs of the department, and legislated requirements. With a focus on abilities rather than disabilities, the coordinator finds ways of maintaining connections to the workplace. Watch the video to learn about Tena McKenzie’s experiences with WRAP.
